Case Keenum

I'm going over a player who has just recently come back on my radar, Case Keenum.

Case Keenum is one of the best pure passers coming into the NFL I have seen in a long time. I know a lot of people will probably look at him and say he played in the C-USA, he is too short to be an NFL Quarterback, and he was a system Quarterback. Nonsense, Matt Forte played in the C-USA, Drew Brees is shorter than Case Keenum, and the system he ran at Houston is the same system that the Eagles, Saints, Packers, Patriots, and now the Broncos, all run.

Last year he threw for 5,631 yards with 48 TDs to only 5 interceptions. That is an almost 10 to 1 ratio, yet the experts will still go back to saying he's too short to play in the NFL. Case has no problem throwing the ball with power and accuracy. He is an above average running threat, having ran track in high school. Case has also shown a knack for making good decisions from inside the pocket.

Case is a coach's son with the kind of football IQ scouts look for. He is also a good kid with all of the intangibles that you could want in a leader. He is a little bit older than most prospects because he was granted a 6th year of eligibility after being injured in his 1st try at a senior year.

All in all Case Keenum looks like a good fit to be another Drew Brees in a few years. The best fits for Case would be the Saints, Patriots, or Eagles. They would be great fits because they have older Quarterbacks who could be a mentor for three to five years and then slowly fade into a backup role and eventually, retirement.

    1. Last time I checked Tim Tebow plays in the NFL therefore he IS an NFL quarterback.

  2. I'm glad your a Tebow supporter, cause I am too. I'm a Gator fan & Tebow has the intangibles to do it. but sorry bro, i don't see it happening with Case Keenum. I'd draft Kellen Moore (in the 6th or 7th round) over Keenum.

    1. I would take both of them. Kellen Moore is similar to Case Keenum except that he has a weaker arm. I give Case a slight edge over Kellen Moore because of his scrambling ability and extra arm strength.
